The Remembrance Service at Welshampton was very well attended. The weather was a bit inclement, so the service was held in Church rather than round the War Memorial as in previous years, but this had the advantage that we had in front of us during the service the beautiful fall of poppies over the altar and lovely Poppy arrangements also in front of us.
We welcomed a Staffordshire Guide Troop that was staying at the Activity Centre in Lyneal and the photographs not only show them but also the Poppies on the altar. The service ended with a procession to the War Memorial for the laying of wreaths and the blessing.
As is usual there were refreshments after the service with time to chat to everyone.
