Welcome to our Welshampton Methodist Friends!

In the spirit of Christian fellowship, we are very pleased to introduce the Welshampton Methodists to our website. The following article was first published in the Dec/Jan 2022/2023 Parish Magazine and gives us insight into Methodist life in Welshampton.

From Welshampton Methodists:

What a wonderful turn out we had at our Advent Sunday coffee morning in the Parish Hall. It was a lovely morning, with endless tea and coffee flowing, and cakes and biscuits and Mince pies galore! “All ages” were there, from little girls not yet 2 years old, to our oldest lady who is 101 and all in between.

The children and many adults had fun making salt dough decorations, doing origami, making Christingles, and also decorating little Christmas trees (with roots!). The Hearing Dogs stand was really well supported, and Ruth was very grateful to everyone who bought from her. Someone said to me they didn’t want the morning to end, and could they take all their crafts home!

Our grateful thanks for the use of the wonderful Parish Hall. To our Methodist friends from Northwood and Bettisfield, who diligently made tea and coffee, to the strength people wanted! They also brought along all sorts of cake!

Special thanks to Lizzie who brought the Christmas trees, Ken for doing the Christingles, Rev Julia for playdough decorations, and John and Zena for paper crafts.

Also thank you Julie from Mere Motors who supplied the Sunday papers which are always a real attraction!

We hope you will all come along next Advent Sunday which is on 3rd December 2023!

More information from the Methodists after Christmas.
